Dolphins off the Coast of Dorset
If you are interested in seeing Dolphins and Sea Birds in their natural habitat then a trip with West Bay Charters is just the ticket
On various trips throughout the year White-beaked Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises and Basking Sharks have been seen, swimming, playing and feeding.
Sea Birds include; Balearic Shearwater (Europe´s rarest seabird), Manx Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater, Great Skua, Sandwich Tern, Common Tern, Arctic Tern, Little Gull, Fulmar and various other sea birds.
Dolphin Watching is amazing fun to watch them in their natural environment.
To identify individual Dolphin you will need to look closely at their Dorsal fin, this is the equivalent to our own finger prints which are unique to us. Dolphins have different fins with unique patterns, shown in the picture opposite, so do bring along a good pair of binoculars and a camera.
